On January 19, the Homeland Spring 2025 program, themed “Vietnam – Rising in the New Era”, co-organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People’s Committee, was successfully held at the National Convention Center in Hanoi. This was not only an exceptional annual cultural and political event combined with artistic exchange but also a special bridge connecting the global Vietnamese community with their beloved homeland.
The event had the honor of welcoming distinguished leaders, including:
- Comrade Luong Cuong, President of Vietnam.
- Comrade Do Van Chien, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.
- Comrade Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Committee for External Relations.
- Along with more than 1,500 overseas Vietnamese delegates and their families.
As part of the Homeland Spring 2025 series of events, on the evening of January 19, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Tran Sy Thanh, hosted a welcoming reception for 100 outstanding overseas Vietnamese returning home to celebrate the Lunar New Year. This event strongly reaffirmed the message: “Overseas Vietnamese are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese community. No matter where they are, their hearts always turn toward their homeland”.
