INAUGURATION OF THE LNG TRAIN

On September 6, 2024, at Trang Bom Railway Station in Dong Nai, PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) hosted the launch ceremony for the first LNG transport train traveling from the South to the North.
The ceremony was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Phuc Tue, PV GAS Deputy General Director, and attended by Mr. Nguyen Cong Luan, PV GAS Deputy General Director, and leaders of affiliated units and PV GAS members. Notably, the event also saw the presence of Mr. Phan Quoc Anh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR), and representatives from PV GAS’s LNG transportation partners.
This event marks a significant breakthrough in implementing a multimodal transportation model (combining road and rail) for LNG transport from the South to the North. LNG, with its high efficiency and low greenhouse gas emissions, is not only a green energy source for the future but also plays a crucial role in the industrial and power generation sectors.
