HEALTH STATION STAFF READY TO RESPOND TO EPIDEMICS COMPETITION

On August 9, 2024, the final round of the “Health Station Staff Ready to Respond to Epidemics” competition took place in Hanoi. This competition was a key activity under the project “Strengthening the Capacity of Grassroots Levels for Epidemic Preparedness and Response to COVID-19 in Vietnam”, funded by the Japan Social Development Fund (JSDF) through the World Bank and organized by the Institute for Social Development Studies.
The event welcomed distinguished attendees such as Dao Lan Huong, Senior Expert at the World Bank and Project Director; Associate Professor Dr. Tran Dac Phu, former Director of the Preventive Medicine Department, Ministry of Health, and Technical Director of the SPR-COVID project; and Dr. Bui Quoc Dung, Deputy Director of Long An Department of Health.
The competition was designed to foster a collaborative and inspiring environment for health station staff to exchange professional knowledge and practical experience. It also served as a platform to assess the effectiveness of training programs and reinforce the key learnings from the project.
Six teams of 30 health staff from Khanh Hoa, Long An, Vinh Phuc participated in the final round of a project competition. The event was also attended by judging panel members, sponsors, provincial health department leaders and other guests.
The final results: First Place went to the Blue Sea team (Khanh Hoa), Second and Third Places were awarded to representatives from Vinh Phuc, the Sunflower team and the Dawn team, respectively.
