15th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ASEAN-AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND FREE TRADE AGREEMENT AND THE BUSINESS OUTLOOK

On June 10, 2024, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the Australian Embassy and the Regional Trade for Development (RT4D) program in Vietnam, organized the 15th anniversary of the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (AANZFTA) and the business outlook.

The conference was attended by representatives from the Australian Embassy in Vietnam, the New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam, various Vietnamese government agencies, ministries, sectors, as well as representatives from relevant organizations and affiliated units.

The purpose of the conference was to reflect on the 15-year journey of implementing the AANZFTA, introduce the second protocol amending the AANZFTA (also known as the upgraded AANZFTA), assess the impacts of the agreement on the business community and the opportunities for Vietnamese exports in the near future.
