33RD MEETING OF ASEAN DIRECTORS-GENERAL OF CUSTOMS

The 33rd meeting of ASEAN Directors-General of Customs, chaired by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, took place from June 4-6, 2024, in Phu Quoc and concluded successfully.

As the most important annual event in the ASEAN Customs cooperation mechanism, the meeting saw the participation of 100 delegates (both online and in-person) from the leadership teams of the 10 Customs administrations of ASEAN member countries, the ASEAN Secretariat and international partners.

The meeting quickly reached a common consensus on the directions for implementing ASEAN Customs cooperation activities for the upcoming strategic development phases.

Vietnam Customs, as the host and chairing Customs administration, is also an active and responsible member. Vietnam Customs has made positive contributions, together with ASEAN Customs, achieving milestones such as the development of the Harmonisation of Tariff Nomenclature, the ASEAN Single Window mechanism, the ASEAN Customs Transit System, etc.
