FRIENDSHIP STREET VIETNAM – KOREA FESTIVAL 2022
In order to commemorate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea (December 22, 1992 – December 22, 2022), on December 10-11, 2022, many intriguing activities as parts of Friendship Street Vietnam – Korea Festival 2022 were hosted at Tran Van Lai Street, My Dinh Urban Area, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi.
There were multiple booths at the festival featuring traditional Korean cuisines such as kimchi, mixed rice, mixed vermicelli, seafood cakes, and grilled meats marinated with typical spices of the land of kimchi. In addition to gastronomy, several highlights of the festival were the performances of Korean cover dance, traditional Korean musical instruments, and Hanoi folk art, which helped tourists experience the Korean culture space.
President of the Korean Association in Hanoi, Chang Eun Sook, stated that the “Friendship Street Vietnam – Korea Festival” will be hosted annually and turned into a tourist destination for Korean and Vietnamese tourists, especially young people. This significant event provides a chance for citizens from both countries to share cultures and build friendships via a variety of activities.
Mr. Jackie Han – CEO of VietnamEvents – Event Director of the “Friendship Street Vietnam – Korea Festival 2022” stated that this event was staged to strengthen the friendship and harmony between the two countries on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Korea. This is the first event held in a new location with the goal of becoming a symbol of the Korean Quarter in Hanoi.
